    No turn signals

92 LX 5.0, turn signals don't work but 4 way flashers do! Changed the fuse and both flashers (all checked out OK). Still don't work. I also have a Painless Performance switch panel in the ashtray that also quit working at the same time, switched for line lock and back up lights. Any ideas for my next move?

PS everything worked when I bought the car

    Thanks in advance

I'd try your turn signal switch, aka multiswitch. They are known to go bad. They can cause several things to not work, turn signals, headlights, wipers...

agreed. Mine had a bad connection- no turn signals and no heater blower.

I have an '87 and have lost turn signals twice - both times still had 4 way flashers. First time ended up being relay which it sounds like you've already eliminated. Second time was when I had pulled my dash and had pulled switch to get the dash out. A wire that plugs into the harness had come out and I put it back in the wrong slot ( one over from correct slot ) and it was not making contact. Not sure where you are from, but I have a back-up turn signal lever that I know is good if you want a good one to try out to see if your lever might be the problem.

Thanks for the feedback, I will be tearing shit apart tracing wires. Does the Painless have it's own in line fuse? Do the turn signals and 4 ways utilize the same bulbs?

OK, I found the problem! When the car is running, if I turn back on the key just a hair, everything works. How do you change the ignition switch?
