SRT-4 mutilation

Yea so the story goes, the first time i had my stang out this year I was driving around greensburg with my one friend. I wasnt hunting for a kill but one found me. These 2 cocky kids in a hopped up, all black SRT-4 challange me. He had to have mods the stock blow off valve couldn't have been that loud. I was hesitant at first but i said what the hey, lets do it. So we go out on route 30 and started form 50-mph. I shift into third the three beeps and all then i punched it. Ohh my that car had NOTHING , I dont even know why i wasted my gas. LoL. three times the same result, I started in 3rd, shift to 4th and by the time 4th revved out I had 4 car lengths or more on him. My buddy that was with me goes...wow this car must be faster than we think...I loved it, the kid challanged me and got smoked. At least they gave me the thumbs up when they sped off.

Good kill. SRT's are a mixed bag,most of them aren't to bad, but some of them can really surprise you. Especially from a roll.

yea i know my buddy got smoked by one but the turbo on it was louder than his exhaust...and he has off road pro chamber with magnoflow race mufflers. this is the second SRT-4 i beat. but the first one the guy wouldnt slow down so we could do the roll on start so i had to catch up and pass him in 5th.

I got smoked by one of those in the rain. But then again first 2 gears in my truck are pretty much useless if the roads are so much as damp!

Yea i cant believe dodge turned to a rice burner platform for a sportscar but then again it is dodge they're dumb like that. haha

trust me, if ANYTHING is done to it, they have no traction in the rain either... its just not gonna slide all over the road like us RWD guys

i agree tho, that there are some really quick ones, but most aren't anything to think twice about. However, my good friend had one & with only a Borla exhaust, he outran several bolt-on 4.6 GT's.. after stage 1 and 2 mopar kits, it ran a 13.01, which isnt TOO bad... at that point it ran dead even with my LT1 T/A ... But he wised up and sold it for a LS2 goat...

I think a guy that i havent seen around here in a while had a pretty quick one (relatively speaking) PhillySRT4...

very true... i think all neon's are It has a better front end than the reg. neon, but the wing was a definite poor choice... kinda like the cobalt SS wing.

yea some can be fast but mostly its that they're soo light, my car probably weighed 700-800 pounds more than that car but i dont really know for sure i'm just guessing thats how much more it weighs.

defintely... that little wieght on a fwd car makes for poor, poor traction

doubt it... when my friend has his, one of the first thigns he put on it was a different BOV and it was loud as all get out... and since the car spools sooooo quickly, it blows off everytime you let off the gas, let alone b/w shifts
