    2004 Mustang GT

I'm thinking about selling my car. As much as I would love to keep it, my daily driver F-150 is on its last legs and it will need to be replaced soon. If it has to go, I would love to see somebody on here take it instead of dealing with craigslist or a car dealership. 2004 Mustang GT with 57,xxx miles. Leather interior, 6 disc CD changer and the following mods:

    BBK Cold Air Intake
    BBK 70mm Throttle Body/Plenum
Short throw shifter (I don't know what brand)
    High Flow Cats
Flowmaster American Thunder stainless cat back exhaust
FRPP 4.10 gears and Moser 28 Spline Axels.
SCT Flash tuner with a custom tune from Brenspeed
Eibach lowering springs (They were on the car when I bought it so I don't know exactly how much it is lowered.)
17x10.5 wheels with 315/35/17 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials in the back.
Tinted windows (I don't know how dark, but they are dark.)
I have never had the car on the dyno and I have never made a 1/4 mile pass, so I have no idea what kind of numbers it puts down.

    The bad:
Sometimes it grinds when I put it into third gear. It doesn't happen all the time and it hasn't gotten worse since it started doing it. I haven't had it looked at so I don't know if it is a synchronizer or just needs some sort of adjustment. I was in a wreck two years ago. The air bags did not deploy and there was no frame damage, just body work.
The passenger side window sometimes does not go down when using the driver side controls.

That is all I can think of right now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. PM me or call/text me at 412-974-5930. I am looking to get $10,500 OBO. Thanks.

Hi Andy - I hope things work out and you don't have to sell the GT.

Maybe start a thread with what's wrong with the F150? Someone around here might be able to help. Older trucks like ours always need relatively constant TLC - mine has needed rear drums, shoes, all hard and flex brake lines, water pump, power steering hoses, tune up, and now some exhaust work - and that's in a 2-year span where I've only driven her about 10k miles or so.

For anyone interested, this is a really nice-looking and great-sounding GT.

    Good luck buddy!

Thanks Ron. The last thing I want to do is sell it. My truck has been real sluggish, more so than usual. It has been vibrating really bad under the drivers side floor board when I accelerate. And today it started tapping pretty loud somewhere around the transmission. The transmission shifts fine so I dont think it is the tranny itself. Have you experienced something like this with yours? I don't want to dump a bunch of money into it only to take it to the junkyard 6 months later.

I'm not sure Andy - my truck is always sluggish!! I had some bad clunking when braking / turning and when I looked underneath the radius arm bushings were toast. Replaced those and the ride improved.

Is there any chance you have one hub locked and one unlocked? That happened to me once and I had a bad vibration and the truck would pull to one side quite a bit.

I'm guessing you have checked the level of the tranny fluid? ( While the truck is running, of course. )

Another thing that you could look at are all the u-joints. My rear u-joint was completely destroyed - I couldn't believe it didn't break in half once I removed it and got a good look at it. The front u-joints actually seized up and wouldn't let me turn the wheel more than 1/3 the normal range while in 4wd.

Check out www.ford-trucks.com . It is a great website. Go to the section for trucks the same age as yours and do some searching. Tons and tons of info out there. Chances are 50 people or more on the site have already dealt with the same problems you are having now.

Good luck with it, and let us know how it goes. Maybe we can help.

Can vouch for it being a nice car! Good price for it too

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Truck problem sounds almost like transfer case, universal, or a carrier bearring, what year truck? Is it 4wd, and what bed and cab on it?
