    Fox Upper spring mounts

I'm taking my Lincoln off air ride and theres nothing up top for a spring to anchor to. So if anyone has an unwanted K member (K member can be junk, I just need spring mounts and I can weld) and maybe a parts car with no rear suspension, LMK. Im 20 Miles North of Da Burgh. Thanks!

Could you use a coil over setup with a lot less effort?

Sure could, but those simply arent in the budget.

Hell, sounds like a bargain at less than $200 vs the hassle and time of welding upper spring mounts in.

They do sell a spring swap setup for those cars. I've seen Mark VIIIs that got scrapped with the swap on them. Check around.

Whoa! I never ever saw that. Says complete but looks like front only. I'm gonna look into that thanks!

What silverhatch said. This is a very common upgrade for these cars.

Any chance u can snap a pic of A rear perch? I'm curious if new edge is the same general shape up there. The amount of stuff that interchanges from 79-04 seems to suggest it would.

Not knocking your welding abilities, but I think i'd save up for a swap kit. Hate to see a spring fly out from under the car after accidentally hitting a pothole at 50mph.

  16. #16
The problem with the swap kits, from what I've researched by calling the suppliers, is that it only accepts their spring. So If i'm not happy with how high it sits or performance, I'm screwed.

I've welded frames, driveshafts etc etc for years with no probs

Badstanglx, Im not familiar with the qa1 member. They have seperate mounts?
