    Drag radials - which is better ?

    I'm looking at getting a set of drag radials for my '08 Roush for test n tune nights. I was looking at Mickey Thompson ET streets and Nitto NT05R's. Anyone have experience with either or know which brand people like better ? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

    It is an auto with the Roush supercharger. Unfortunately, they only made the Speedster models in automatics.

    I've had great luck with Mickey's. The nt05r is light years ahead of the old 555rs and according to a few other gto owners they hook and wear similar to the mickeys.

    1 vote for nittos i have had great luck with them and they wear better than the mickeys but they wont hook as well , its nice to know if you get caught in rainyou dont have to pull over, the nittos do fairly well with small rain storms .

    Nitto nt05r will wear just as fast as the mt's and will be just as awful in the rain. The 555r's are the nittos that don't hook as well and are not too terrible in the rain. I still say mickey since its more proven though

    I Drive my Capri all weather with the Nitto's. They do really well in the rain until they hit the first wear bars. After that they get sketchy wet ;) I wouldn't use anything but a bias tire at the track on my junk.

    spool = racecar

    I put another vote up for mt et street radials and they do ok in the rain, I have driven on big and littles with them on my billets and it did fine in the rain and hooked good on street and strip.
