So.... just a quick question regarding polishing a vehicle then waxing. Yes through the years I've tested my fair share of waxes, polishes, etc etc... Since I've had my Silverado, I've REALLY fallen in love with Nu-finish. No it's not a wax, but a polish. they suggest 1 application, then 1 30 days later.
I don't think it lasts a year as there claims suggest, but it is amazing stuff. I apply it twice a year, once being right around Fall. I go through whole winter full of salt covering the truck, nasty roads at work, etc etc... my truck washes 100% clean and very easy, dirt and debris wash off instantly.
To get to my question lol, would it make sense to follow up Nu-finish with an application of wax? I tried finding info on the manufacturer site, but it says nothing. Only reason I ask, although Nu-finish protects amazingly, it doesn't really give that high depth, wet paint look that I like.
Would applying wax hurt anything, would the 2 treatments counter each other and not retain there characteristics?
Few years back ( see old thread by me) I found Autoglym super reisin polish. My latest trend is claying, PC with the autoglym, then Nu-finish by hand. Truck looks flat out amazing, highly recommend Autoglym products for those who haven't tried them. (pepboys stocks it).
Once again, no real importance to me wanting to finish off with a wax, just looking for a better wet look out of the paint.
Any suggestions or opinions welcome.
thx,
Dan
