    shorty header install rubbing

I just installed Pacesetter Shorty Headers on my 2010 GT.
Install went smooth (as smooth as with jack stands gets) but all in all not too bad. Once done, fired her up, checked for leaks and nothing! Shes all good! However, when driving my steering wheel feels kinda odd. (had to take off steering shaft and re-install). Whenever i turn to the right from dead center, i can feel it rubbing on the header. Any solutions? Could a few washers between the engine mount and block solve that?

    help!

Honestly...I'd probably 'clearance' the header tube a bit with a hammer!

Are you a member on www.s197forum.com? You'll probably find the solution there.

I say shim the motor mount. I just went through this on my fox, installing equal length shorties. I even replace the factory wore out motor mounts with NAPA replacements & it still would make contact in one spot. I shimmed it & all is good until I do Prothane mounts over the winter.

Did you check with pacesetter? Maybe they'll send you a free replacement. I doubt they are designed that way, has to be a defective part.
