    First time ever to PRP

Finally got a chance to get out to PRP for a few runs. My best time with big traction issues on my street tires and a 60ft over 2 secs was a 13.3 @ 108mph.

What should I be trapping at with that trap speed? Trap should be higher too but I couldn't hook up.

I know I could do better with better tires or even just a new tune to take full advantage of my built tranny w higher stall.

Yeah tell me about it lol. Spun through first and beginning of 2nd. I'm pretty sure my converter is locking up way too soon. Even going from park into drive or reverse with my foot pretty heavy on the brake the tires will spin.

108mph should put you well into the 12's... i'm thinking like 1270's-1280's give or take

That's what I was thinking. My trap was faster than the guy next to me and he was running 12.8's with a 60ft just under 2 secs

What is it, every 1 tenth off the 60 nets two tenths off the ET?? If I remember right.

Based on a basic Wallace calculator ...

    60 Foot1.71
    330 Foot4.93
    660 Foot7.74
    660 MPH87.80
    1000 Foot10.18
    1/4 Mile ET12.27
    1/4 Mile MPH108

    Link to calculator:

    http://www.wallaceracing.com/etcalc.php

That is usually okay for estimating. What happens however with spinning is that you can trick the MPH up a bit, so when the 60' comes down, so does the MPH.

A better estimate can be made if you have dyno numbers, MPH,and weight ;)

    MPH definitely drops when the 60' drops. In my Mach 1 I dropped a full 1mph going from a 2.0 60' to a 1.74 60', but ET went from 13.1 to 12.61.

What is your launch technique - what rpm are you leaving at? What tires are you running, at what psi, and how do you do your burnout? What was the 60' times? "Over 2 seconds" = 2.01 to 2.99 to me.

Did you say your torque converter is locking during the run? I would avoid locking the converter especially on an N/A car.

60ft was a 2.06. Running nitto 555's at about 25lbs. Nothing crazy on burn out since just on streets. As for launching had foot hard on the brake and rpm around 1k, at last yellow light release brake and hammer it. Anything over 1k I would start to spin the tire.

2.06 isn't great but not exactly terrible on junk street tires. In real life it is actually pretty decent for your stock rear suspension. Get real rubber and go back, instant 1.7-1.8 60s and mid to high 12s with your mph, then fix your converter issues if you in fact have any.

Rear suspension isn't stock. I have J&M rear lower control arms, bilstien HD shocks, and ford racing C-springs. Rear end has 31 spline ford racing trac-lok w/carbon fiber discs (essentially a cobra rearend) and moser 31 forged axles.

I don't see a converter listed in with your mods. A higher stalling converter along with sticky tires would do you wonders. Based on previous experience I doubt tires will help you much on the stock converter and you might see 1.9's at best

Its a 3000 stall but like I said before its locking up waaaaay too early. I have a new tune for my tranny and it feels so much better and I can actually tell I have a higher stall but it has idle issues and can't run it, stalls out when car idles down.

Very odd, the only time it should lock is normal driving in 4th. Perhaps its not locking your experiencing but just the limits on where it will foot brake before pushing through.

With the tune I'm using now it will spin the tires just shifting from park to drive or reverse and also is causing some bucking when cruising because its locking and unlocking too early (straight from the guy who built my tranny, he's worked/works with Evanuik on race cars so I trust him). The new tune that I can't run doesn't do this and rpms react completely different while driving, can notice the stall clear as day with the new tune.
