    Close the book on Holmes. He was nothing but trouble here and is hated in the Jets' locker room. The Rooneys got that one right when they cut him loose.

    Vrabel - definitely a solid player. But...our starting linebackers were better than him when we cut him loose.

    In my opinion, the only guy we let go that we probably should have kept was Rod Woodson. He had a bunch of great years left in him, even though most of them were at safety. He was the real deal. Remember when he blew out his ACL early in the season, had surgery, rehabbed, and came back to play in that year's super bowl? Amazing!!

    Jeez - the refs aren't callling too good of a game so far thru the middle of the second quarter...

    There is no F'ING way that was not an incomplete pass that the Giants returned for a TD.

    The interference call against Keenan Lewis - horrible 41-yard call by the ref.

    The "blow to the head" by Ryan Clark vs Victor Cruz - uh...he hit him in the ribs.

    WTF is wrong with these bum officials?!?!

    Officials are a joke tonight. Otherwise it has been a good game so far.

    Good game if you take some of those lousy calls away the Refs called. Redman was damn good today. I wouldn't have thought they would beat the Giants but hey it's always nice to be surprised. Especially when Steelers seemed to find a different gear to play in.

    Beating the Giants to me shows they can deal with any team as long as they keep playing this good.

    Wow - what a gut-check win that was! I know the Giants' players had to go thru a lot this week, but we truly pushed them all over the field tonight.

    But these injuries are completely out of control. Somehow we are winning...but we can't keep losing 3-4 guys to injury every game. Troy, Rashard, Dwyer, Brown, Woodley, Rainey... These aren't just "regular" players - they're studs for the most part.

    I can't believe our O-line has come together so well these last few weeks. I have to give a lot of credit to Haley for some awesome play calling.

    But WTF was the deal with that fake field goal tonight?!?! I mean - we were running the ball DOWN THEIR THROATS...and we try a trick play from inside the 5 yard line with our KICKER and take 3 points off the board? I know that our D was playing VERY well, but we gave Eli - currently the biggest 4th quarter stud in the league - another chance to beat us.

    Luckily, we were able to keep it together and pull it off tonight.

    BRING ON THE RAVENS ON SUNDAY NIGHT!!!!!!!!

    I like that fake field goal attempt. Was a gutsy call that could have been a touchdown if Giants had rushed the kick. Leaving 3 points off the board isn't always good but why not try. Pinned them inside the 5 with game only a 3 point difference still.

    Agree 100%. Good call at the right time. If the ball was on the 30 it would be a different story.

    I see what you're saying, but I just think that we could have easily just gone for it on 4th down and punched it in. Redman was unstoppable tonight. I don't think our kicker gave us the best chance to score.

    Monday night against the Chiefs, and Sunday night against the Ravens - both at home. Gonna be a great week of football coming up!! ( Hopefully!! )

    I dont think they were trying to score on the play. The first down line was at the 2 and they kicked from the 4. If the giants would have played block, it would have worked great. But oh well. Moot point as the result didnt affect the game as the defense held.

    It was a great call if they had actually decided to block to the side the kicker was running to. TWO unblocked defensemen. That was pathetic.

    If it was 4th and 2 and your running back hadn't run for like a buck forty (meaning we had zero problem moving the ball up to that point), it may have been a gutsy call, but 4th and a foot in that situation was just an atrocious call (especially since even I could see on TV unblocked Giants to the right side). Thankfully it didn't matter. Otherwise, one hell of a game, hope they can keep the intensity up.

    Was that KC game a disaster or what...

    Now...because we played on Monday night ( and went into OT - although it was short ) = short week to prep for the Ravens

    Ben = out ( not sure for how long )

    Leftwich = looked rusty at first, but did lead us to the go-ahead field goal, did not turn the ball over, and made some good throws. That loooonnnngggg windup of his really concerns me though, considering the pressure the Ravens are sure to bring.

    Clark concussed - says he'll play but I'm worried what might happen if he does play

    Troy = still out

    Brown = still out

    Mendenhall = still out

    Gilbert = still out...

    Ike T - went down but came back in later - that was scary, as no Troy...maybe no Clark...and with Ike nicked a bit, our secondary would be in MAJOR trouble

    I'm hoping the "next man up" mentality works and Sunday night's game goes well, but it will be a tall order to beat the Ravens, who are suddenly playing well.

    Hopefully we learned our lesson last year when Ben came back too soon from injury. A QB at 50% healthy simply will not be good enough come playoff time. We need to win 3-4 more games to guarantee a wildcard. If we are healthy come playoff time, I like our chances. But lately, that seems like a BIG "if"...

    One thing to consider...Ben's baby is due in the next few weeks...so it would be likely that he would miss a game in there somewhere due to the birth.

    I don't have alot of faith in Byron. Fingers crossed for a good run game and our D shut them down.

    It seems that Pittsbugh is the only team without a viable back-up QB. Their whole offense is structured around Roethlisberger, however, they have nobody behind him with a similar style... Leftwich and Batch are the opposite- mobile as a rock. I'd actually prefer Batch over Leftwich. Good luck Steelers... they're going to need it.
