Come on Scott, your comparing a 2 seat sports car to a 4 seat coupe. WTF?

Of the two cars in that video I'd definitely rather have the ZR1. I don't know that I'd ever actually pay what they're asking for them though.

As far as holding their value, I'm not sure if I agree with you there. There are some good deals out there on vettes. I'd say they lose value pretty quickly. This ZR1 for instance. In 3-4 years and <6,000 miles it's depreciated by over $20k. Not too many people would consider that a good investment.

LS3 vettes can be had in the mid to upper 20's now too. That's about 20k off in 4-5 years.

Not denying that vettes are nice cars, I may have one myself one day(I've obviously been looking, lol) but they depreciate just as bad if not worse than any other vehicle.

I'm not sure I consider that a good thing. At least not for someone like me who'd like to buy one, lol. I can't believe those things are 7-8 years old now and still well over 100k. Very frustrating!

I like to have a Turbo'd New 5.0. Personally I'd never trade even my Z06 for one though, let alone a ZR1. It would need to be in Addition to the Z06. Hell I'd take the Turbo 5.0 instead of a freaking Shelby all day long. The only exception being (maybe) a '13 GT500 and even that remains to be seen.

Most zr1s i have seen for sale have been 90s and up and the last brand new i went and looked at could be had for 98k

But like i said compared to the coyote in the vid. He bought car for mid 30~s and to do a turbo kit right your looking at 10k on the cheap end and so u got atleast a 40-45k car and he can prob sell it for he paid for it so losing 10k to 15k in a yr or so thats going cheap on everything. Im not takin anything away just saying i would rather have the vette for many more reasons than just speed. I have a car now thats goes fast in a straight line and have learned its not worth it (atleast for me). I can dd the car but its just a pain and not comfy thus why i would choose the vette cuz ALL AROUND. Its a better car imo.

I still would take a new 5.0 tho if u guys are buying!

Ford GTs absolutely hold their value. $140k+ new = sticker. And they're selling for that much and more today.

He stated a gt is worth more than ANY vette. Which is not true. If he said newer vettes then yes. But he said any vette

Edit.. Take that back forgot about the original ford gt40 cars

Gotta look at prodution numbers on both cars too. Hell, every time i take a stroll down 19 I'm beside or passing a Z06. Thats why I believe most vettes depreciate so rapidly.

I don't know too much about the ZR1 production numbers, but I would assume the C6 version is higher than all Ford GT's. I agree with Scott about the vette being the better all around vehicle but you get what you pay for...

It would be a very high mile LS3 car to be anywhere close to mid 20s

Guess it would depend on your definition of mid 20's and very high miles. But I would consider these two to be mid 20's with reasonable miles...

    By your guys. Your beloved gt500 is junk and 5.0 > gt500. Cuz if turbo 5.0 beat zr1 and tune zr1 beat a pulley/intake/tune gt500 then a turbo 5.0 is better than a intake/pulley/tuned gt500
