I have a ar and my brother just bought a sig 556. Shot both, the sig is a better riffle. In my option. the re coil is much better in the 556. But I still love my ar. Lets see some pics

You need to change the pin on the 556. I can have mine fully stripped Down in probably a minute or less.

A bad pic of my 556. Eotech L3 with X3 magnifier. Some other stuff as well. Longer bolt lever as the stock one sucks ass. Quick release pin. Blah blah.

That's a pic from a few months ago. I should update with the other tools I have added. One of these days I will. I think there is 6 pistols now. Possibly a 522 coming next.

I haven't done as much research on the sig. What level of parts/customization do you have for the sig versus the AR?

For home defense I'm not seeing much difference on their face. It seems like having a preference for ferrari vs bugatti or a shelby vs zl1 (In b4 "sensitive vaginas" comments)

Right now the best buy out there is a Colt 6920, they can be had for 1k.

I built both of these for under 1k, one on the left is a BCM M4 and the one on the right is a BCM lower with a Colt 6921 complete upper.

Or just get yourself a FN SCAR

What a sweet shooting gun, you would have been a happy man. Here's an updated pic with an Aimpoint PRO I put on.

on AR15 lowers, does billet vs forged make much of a difference when looking at milspec lowers? Most of my research says no but I want to make sure I didnt miss something.

Forged lowers are the standard and have been for a long time, billet is a cleaner looking lower and more expensive, more maching involved. I prefer forged over billet but that's just me.
