    Love that body style.

Anyone remember my thread from last year ? It was on a flatbed on my street for 3 - 4 days. I thought it was going to the crusher.

Nice car. Should leave it the way it is, and just drive it.

To leaving the color/paint alone. I might of considered running the crap paint for a while but, has the factory green interior and looks like the great pumkin.Original color is dark moss green. Infact I may put it in my driveway with a candle in it for halloween.
Also the power steering and transmission are leaking into drain pans while sitting in my garage. The car really needs some TLC before it gets on the road......I figure if I'm gonna do it, do it all at one time and be done.

Curious if Dark Moss Green is the same as Ivy Green. My '66 Mustang was/is Ivy Green, which is paint code R. What is the original paint code on the Fairlane?

I'm a big fan of the dark green colors - you just don't see many restored cars that color, as most folks go with red or whatever. Are you going to stick with it when you respray? I know of a local '66/'67 big block Fairlane that is dark green and it is gorgeous!!

It infact is a "R" code for the color. I imagine that it should be the same. I sold my 67 gt Mustang which was the moss green (still kicking my self) to buy my 04 Cobra.

If your '66 Fairlane is an R paint code then it is Ivy Green. Awesome!! I hope you consider going back to that color!! Below is a '66 Fairlane paint code decoder.

And your '67 Mustang would have been paint code Y for Dark Moss Green. That also is a nice color that your rarely see. But I think the '66 R-code Ivy Green is my favorite. I wonder why??

In '68, the R paint code was for Highland Green ( Bullitt ). That's a great color too.

His name is Al Geisler. My buddy Bob ( standing in the photo ) knows him. I have never met Al personally, but his garage and his car collection is pretty darn awesome!

Bob said the Fairlane in the photos is really amazing.
