Not cleaning it is one thing, see what happens when you fire thousands and thousands of rounds with lubricating, no mention of lube in that video. I don't care what kind of gun you have if you don't lube regularly it will fail.
Here's a pretty good article on a gun that was cleaned 1 time in 31,165 rnds, and it's not an AK.

i had a 223 ak and they do suck. mine would jam after a couple of hundred rounds but my brother had the 7.62 ak and that thig was a beast never had any problems with it. just lube and pull a snake through and your good
