I got involved with RC cars/trucks back in '86. Still have a few from over the years and one that hasn't been made since '87. The money I have spent on this stuff over the years is nuts. So many long gone but what I still have is below. Use to know all the little tricks and crap with motors and batteries. From turns, windings and brush type/shape depending on what you wanted to do. Things have just changed so much with electrics I'd be lost now.
Kyosho Optima, was a 4wd buggy converted into a truck years ago. Chain drive converted to belt drive with front rear ball diffs. This is from mid 80's
Kyosho Ultima Pro, 2wd buggy, carbon fiber chassis. Fast as all hell. I would guesss from early 90's I go it.
Tamiya Juggernaut, big old 4wd/4ws monster truck. One of those I saw it and bought it.
Tamiya Mountaineer, Same as an old Bruiser from 1984 but released again in 1992. Full steel c-channel frame, solid axles front/rear, leaf springs, 3 speed transmission with 4wd being in 1st gear. Uses a giant 750 size electric motor. Think I spent my first paycheck from current company I work for to get it. Always wanted a Bruiser but they were expensive and stopped making when I got into RC. This thing is just cool as hell and fun to mess with using a 4 channel stick radio. Have a plate made for left stick with gate pattern for gear selection
Associated RC10 Team Truck, nitro. Put it together and have never fired it up. Has all the best stuff on it including MV cv axles, rear stinger exhaust. Think I have a .15 engine on it.
