New Mach 1s

Why have the newer Mach 1s not held their value at all? I have been seeing low to mid mileage mach 1s for 13-15k~.. Werent they 40k~ brand new?

They weren't a whole lot of money new. I could have flown to Florida and brought home a '04 Yellow Mach for under $25k new. Sometimes wish I did.

I think mine was between 29-30K new on the sticker. I paid 17K for it last summer with 8700 miles on it and the KBB at the time was around 18,900. I think it depends on mileage. Ive seen a few with low miles go around 16K and higher mileage cars going for south of 12K

Id like to have another, I say that car has almost hit the bottom of its value.
In my opinion they are cooler than a 99/01 cobra

Thats what I was thinking. I definetly rather have a mach rather than a 99/01 cobra. I was just shocked how low priced they were. I just found an 04 SY mach 1 for 10k today which is prob the one color I would buy

I think the second-year run affected the resale a bit, but just in general I agree they haven't held their value.
There are definitely those owners out there that think they are still worth a mint though.

They were definitely not near 40k, even 03-04 Cobras weren't that much except for convertibles. They probably aren't worth more now because you can get a Terminator for $16-18k so why would anyone buy a Mach 1 for that much.

Agreed. The rise of the new 5.0 killed the resale of the Terminators, and that also affected the Mach 1. I'd say this is primarily because the Terminator owners sold their Termies to buy new 5.0s.

When I bought mine I couldnt touch a low mileage Cobra for under 22K. I do agree that the new 5.0 has flooded the market of all new edge cars, cobras and mach 1's. Doesnt matter to me. I still got a virtually brand new mustang out of the deal for far less than new and under market value at the time.

I still think 03-04 cobra's are over priced. Some people still want 20-25grand with over 60,000 miles! I know they are a bad ass car but they are 9 years old. For 25 to 27 you can buy a nice used 11 to 12 5.0.

^^^ This. I think I paid a little more than I should've for mine with 62k, but it came with a lot of paperwork and a legitimate known owner history. Some people are nuts what they ask for these cars.

The problem is they usually get that. If people would stop buying them for 20k+ then the value would def go lower, but thats not gna happen. I looked one day on svtp and only seen two that were under 20k.

A lot of people i talked to were upside down on them too and couldn't go lower. Some still owed what they were asking for the car and maybe more, don't know how in the hell that happens on an 8 year old car but...

When i sold my 03 in Oct. of 2010 i sold it for $18,500 and it only had 31,000 miles on it. I know i could have got $21,000 for it but i wanted to unload it cause i had my 5.0 on order.

Hey Scott if u look in the Terminator for sale section on SVTP there is a very nice, 50K mile Azure Blue for sale/trade located in Harrisburg. He has a add on there looking to trade for a terminator. I think he is asking around $15k.
