I did the same thing in '08, after having voted for Bush twice and being extremely frustrated with the Republican party. This time I will be voting for Romney, I am that upset with Obama that I actually think he can and will do something. I just wish they (republicans) would drop the idiotic religion and overt social conservatism (mostly gay marriage, who cares), I feel neither have a place in politics. I really believe if they did it would be 70/30 red over blue.

If they can create a free health care for most folks without alot of b.s. i'd be for it. I have been paying for everyones kids to get a free education my entire home-owners life, so why not healthcare? Same thing really. You pay for ALL welfare children to get an education. No difference.

i believe in a universal education system but the way property taxes are setup now the districts have entirely too much power on how much they charge home owners. with a flat sales tax that is distributed by the state you hit everyone equally proportionally on how much you buy. when your old youll stop buying cars and stuff you dont need so you will save money and bear less burden.

Not that heathcare is really what it's called. I don't believe in allopathic medicine, but the freedom of choice through the whole process will be eliminated. For instance, you can't do this and see this doctor. Or you can't get this surgury because you did this. It's already happening with the elderly on Government programs. Even if it is the same as welfare or something else, why create more of a bad thing? It's all about control, and to be quite honest I believe population control.

If they can somehow get free healthcare for people who don't have insurance already through their employer without raising any taxes it wouldn't bother me. Hopefully these same people would be required to pay a fee to have said insurance. It wouldn't be great, but it would be something. Where do you draw the line on different needs?, I don't know. Listen, NOONE gets turned away at the ER. Insurance or not, emergency, they take them. Guess who foots the bill when it comes due? The hospital doesn't eat it, they pass the buck along to our insurance companies. Ever wonder why your insurance company pays $10 for two q-tips on your medical bill? Or that it costs $10k a night to stay there? If the state had insurance for these people that came out of revenue already collected, maybe our deductibles and premiums would drop. I don't agree with the whole Obamacare, but if someone gets a free education, why not healthcare. IMO I can learn on my own worst comes to worst, I'm not diagnosing any disease on my own. People say its not fair, well guess what, ole' Miss Crabapple who hasn't had kids in school for 60 years is still paying school tax on a house thats been paid off for 40.....
I agree with you on other issues you listed, but here again lets end that handout stuff now and quit the chain reaction.
The problem I have with the current system is that "healthcare" was transformed into a big business nobody can afford....thus needing insurance. First thing doctors do when someone has an issue is prescribe a pill that provides you with a symptom that's worse than the sickness. I watch my mother in law take 15 pills a day to stay, ahem, healthy. Talk about a money making scheme!
The whole thing is loony. There are some surguries that are amazing, but look at the cost as well. Then we have something called the FDA that supposedly makes sure our Food and Drugs are "safe". Meanwhile, both are killing us as we beg for them.

as an aside thats somewhat related, there was an article today that the US in 2011 at the fed and state level spent a total of 1 TRILLION dollars on welfare. more than on medicare and social security.
