I'm thinking of getting into orienteering, mainly for hunting in some western states. I'm not sure if this is an art that's going away with the advent of the GPS. Wondering where to get startedin terms of equipment, reading material, etc.

Of course I'm going to do the usual internet research but just wondered if anyone on here knew anything.
