My Dad's first new car was a '68 LTD 2-door with a 390 and a C6. Loved that car. Presidential Blue with a white dual pinstripe, black vinyl top, and a dark blue interior. It also had the mag-style factory hubcaps ( like you see on the 7-litre Galaxies ) except with the red centers. It was really sharp. That car ran great and got me 20+ mpg on the highway to and from college with 3-4 girls in the car and all their luggage.

Damn, 20 on the hwy with that boat is crazy! The only new vehicle my old man ever bought was an 87 Ford Econoline. It did have a fuel injected 5.0 and and one of the last factory 9" rears, but those were it's only redeeming qualities, lol.

Ron, you do have a crazy fetish for these boats but I think it's cool. Everybody got their own thing!

A two door LTD would be a fun build, and a deffinite sleeper. Fairmont would be cool too. I just don't know if the 77 would even fit in my garage....Lol.

Yeah John, you're right!! I like just about everything. I'd love to have a 7-liter hardtop clone some day - with a stroked big block and a 6-speed and lots of suspension / braking goodies. I really love the lines of those cars, and the stock bucket seat interior they came with has to be one of my all-time favorite interiors.

Below is an LTD hardtop - like my Dad had. And next to that is a Galaxie 500 LX fastback, which is really cool looking - you don't see many of those around. The hidden headlights give the front end a really clean and aggressive, almost sporty look.

I'll be buying this when I need to save Sarah Connor from the Terminator.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
