    coil over kit

i am getting these springs for free.
They are Central Coast Mustang Street/Race coil over springs. they are 12" and are 400lbs.
what would be a decent yet not expensive coil over kit to get to work with these springs and my current KYB GR2 struts?

might be something i look into swapping next year.

disclaimer - im not unhappy with the LMM, but coilovers are

    400 springs are pretty stiff.

oh.....that seems to be what i see selling most often. people on corner carvers seem to say 400 is a good street/strip spring.

im definately looking for a better ride with c/o. these LMM's are doing a good job so something similar.

You're going to have a hard time fitting any kind of tire up front with 12" springs. With a 275 on a 9" rim I have to run an 8" spring to make everything not try to occupy the same space. And like it's been said already those GR2's are going to die a quick death trying to dampen 400's.

With those struts, I really think anything over 300lb. will be too much. Or buy a set of koni's. It all depends what you want from the car too. I run 475 lb. springs, and I think they are a little too soft, but I'm willing to deal with no weight transfer and a rough ride. If you primarily drag race and don't really care too much about handling, 400lb. is a pretty stiff spring rate, the wheel rate is approx. the same as having a 1600lb. conventional spring.
