This. Its not difficult as long as you are not completely computer illiterate.

So you're offering to buy it if someone does all the work and gets the remaining money left over at the end of the month after sponsors/bills? Or Let someone do all the work and being you bought it outright you just sit back and collect the earnings? Confusing statement??

Well let me be a little more clear about my intentions. The site is up for sale and no one has stepped up to buy it. I do not have the first clue how to run the site nor do I have the time. At the same time, I am not going to let the site come to an end. If it takes buying it so it still runs, I will do that. I would be willing to purchase it if someone else can run it. I AM NOT LOOKING TO MAKE A SINGLE PENNY OFF OF THIS SITE IF I PURCHASED IT. I have been saving some money to do some mods to my car but keeping this site alive for the 2000 some odd members will outweigh any increase in horsepower 2500 will do to my car. I will pay for the monthly bills and the profits can go to the person/persons that run it or it can be put back into scs to benefit the site. If anyone has any other questions please let me know. If it came across that I was looking for an easy buck by fronting money for the site or with my idea on how I could help scs continue if there was a lack of a potential buyer, I apologize, I thought it would be better received than it was.

Celeste - I knew from reading other posts you've made here on the forum in the past that your heart is definitely in the right place as you offered to purchase the site. Definitely a great gesture on your part if you ask me! I hope that everything works out so that the site can stay up and running for years to come.

I also really enjoy this site quite a bit. I refer a lot of folks to it, as well as to the vendors that sponsor the site. I have purchased 3 cars from folks on this site, sold a car to someone on the site, and sold, bought, and donated all kinds of things to the "members". The folks I've met thru SCS have all been good people that enjoy our hobby, and those are the kind of people I like to have as friends.

That is very admirable of you. You are a good person. I know noone that would do that, let alone put there car aside for the cause. I would at the very least ask to have the initial purchase paid back in installments.

Well my offer still stands. I would be willing to purchase the site if someone else could run it but at the same time I will not profit from it. Honestly, I will help with whatever I can when I can, meaning those things not involving computer skills such as group meets, car shows, track rentals, t shirts etc. Again if anyone is interested, pm me and we can talk details over the phone, food or beer.

I can't do much in the computer skills depot, but I'd be willing to help with the shirts, decals etc aspect. Can't really help monetarily but can donate my time.

I think I am just alittle too confused on how it all works to take it on myself. I am sure that with some homework and someone teaching me I could get a handle on it, but I just worry that I wont be able to do it and have to throw it back up for sale.

And honestly I hate to say it, but I would probably have to change the name to steelcitymusclecars or something. I think the biggest thing this site lacks is traffic. With it being a sole mustang site (yes i know its the point and yes I know some people dont have mustangs including me), but someone who just searches the internet with a nice car thats not a mustang looking for a local place sees this doesnt give it a second thought cause they dont have a mustang.

Thats my personal opinion though. But I know for a fact that I didnt sign up on here until I got my first mustang because I thought it was a mustang only site.

I think that the name doesn't mean much as there are members all over the board on the ownership front. But the biggest part of this site is it represents an entity of a car community if nothing else. I dont know how much brand power it has, but its something people can relate to, its just about bringing people out of the woodwork to build that community.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

I think everyone is taking this a little out of proportion. He just offered it for sale if anyone is interested and his reason for it was he doesn't have much time anymore. Never once did he say "If someone doesn't buy this, I'm shutting it down." Just a thought.

Another thing is that there is a lower ratio of know it all dick heads than the "all enclusive" gear head place.

Drop the brand specific, loosen the moderation as on not closing a thread if something does not fit the elementary school days routine and watch it grow. I mean don't close a thread if there is an argument or debate. Open it up. It will thrive.

This might sound weird, but I actually think its good to keep it somewhat specific.... other than a couple of A$$CLOWNS on this site, i think its a good place to be..... If you completely open it up, it will become another Pittspeed - and that's something that i doubt very few around here would like....

Noooooo!!! We do not need a Pitt speed.

I know the idea was tossed around before about opening it up to something more like a general site. But hey, this is a for sale ad, not a suggestion ad.
