The statement of "crying and bitching" was, in fact, a true statement. You can argue that but you will realize I'm right. Everybody gets their panties in a bunch and before long, a thread gets locked. This place has more locked threads than a mall parking lot has locked doors during black Friday. You know its true.

All those trophy bucks come from the posted and stocked gamelands where TV shows are filmed. I've never seen a natural deer that big in PA, not even in the city where they eat big and aren't hunted.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

I see so many dang deer trotting around when I'm driving at night that I wish deer hunting season was year-round. There are WAY too many of them around ( I'm not talking about rural/country areas - but rather in suburban areas like where I live ) and too many accidents are caused and people are hurt/killed because of this. I worry about my wife and family all the time when they're out and about in the evenings this time of year. I've had too many close calls with deer in the past - and I feel I pay far better attention than the average driver.

Sweet Jesus! I was just making a suggestion to make hunting a bit more interesting. I personally never understood what the challenge in shooting something the size of a deer at less than 1,000 yards was. May as well just punch holes in paper unless you really like the taste of deer.

Not to be snotty but........have you ever sueezed the trigger on a firearm to know how difficult it can be to make first shot connections at ranges over 600yds? This an entirely different skill set that most hunter don't have. Not making a challege here, but if you lined up all the hunters in PA, most could not do it at 250yds. The antelope below was a first shot kill at 1,037yds in 2009 when I was hunting in WY with my friend, Ernie. He was the shooter but I was calling to dope. At that range we were dialed in for 31.5 MOA of elevation and a full value 10 MPH wind.

The other side of the coin is that a lot of hunter will throw stones at longrange hunting calling us shooters instead of hunters since we were not close enough to look the animal in the eye before killing it. I say........whatever.....I just like wild game versus store bought. Just make sure it is killed cleanly and quickly.

Another tidbit......that firearm pictures above ran over $4,500 to build. Just like running 13.30's versus 10.30's....it takes a whole new set of toys to run with the big boys.

I hunt because we use deer meat. I replace it with anything that you use hamburger in. Probably if you ate it at my house you couldnt tell the difference. All of my deer go to good use and are not wasted. Plus I make it a point to try and take my deer humanely with no suffering. Seach around on the internet and educate yourself on how the meat you're buying at the supermarket is raised, killed, and processed. At least I know where my food came from, who touched my food (almost said meat here lol) and where/ how long its been there. Go piss on someone elses treestand Doc Hollywood.

There are some monster racks in here. I need to hide my photos. Great job guys!! Gun wise, I use a 270 Wetherby MarkV ultralight for deer hunting. Its the lighest rifle I own and is great to carry all day.

Any animals raised soley for the purpose of being slaughtered are not fed or raised properly. Chickens, for example, are fed so much that they begin to be over weight and some die because what they are feeding them makes them grow so ridicuously fast..those farmers see it as "more meat, more money, faster" than normal.

In all honesty, I'd rather farm raise animals myself and in a healthy manner than to eat the stuff they put in the super markets...

This is what hunting is all about for those who don't get it ....

Your brother did this old boy a favor, instead of him being torn apart by coyotes or starving to death in the cold winter this old boy passed quickly!

He also helped provide an outlet for us how enjoy being in the woods with our friends and family. He's also going to make a few great meal, a great weekend hunting story and a wall hanger for others to admire.

Best of all he just got done screwing a bunch of doe's for the past month so he's dieing happy!

BTW - My first archery harvest. I feel a little bad as this guy would have made a really nice buck next year!

been eating deer burgers, deer chili, deer sloppyjoes, deer steaks in ten different recipes, chops, tenderloins, hot dogs, deer stick, etc. we spend very little on meat other than pork now and then or chicken... Not to mention deer is much healthier than eating beef, low sodium and almost no fat content.

funny how so many ppl are against hunting... UNTIL their wife or child is killed by a deer coming through their windshield, or they destroy the bushes at their house. Deer hunting isn't just for sport, it is a food provider for many, its also for population management.. if the 300,000 doe and buck killed every year over the last few years reproduced on top of the existing herd. You wouldnt be able to to keep a front end on anyone's car there would be so many deer crossing the roads.

One out of every 4 doe tags gets filled... Cant see how thats possible since its so easy to get a buck let alone a doe according to some people who have never tried it

vitaleffects626- I guess no one should have a garden either according to your line of thinking!
