That 700 is a nice piece. Good for some distance shooting I'm sure. Always likes those.

For others, for the record, I never said I was against hunting.

Sounds like you have some nice equipment as well. We did have a 300 Wetherby MarkV mag but it would have never been used for deer so it got sold for something else.

Not to be snotty but........have you ever sueezed the trigger on a firearm to know how difficult it can be to make first shot connections at ranges over 600yds?

Do it all the time, so I am aware of the challenge and price tag of the firearm to do so. My .50 BMG has an intended purpose and it's not for plinking at 100 yards.

Now do it on a live target in actual field conditions.

I prefer that live target to be a human since I have no use for a dead animal. Plus any additional humans are free after the first one! :D

No, I am just very disturbed. most of the humans I have to deal with would be better dead, so at least they would be useful to me.

Ed actually does have a few guns. Here is a rarely seen photo of his wife, Trinity, in the bunker under his house.

There are some nice deer in this thread and congrats to everyone on their success. It's also obvious by some of the replies who never hunted before, LOL.
