Rev limiter is a REAL easy change with TwEECer. Once you get it installed, and talking, literally open the scallars, find the limiter, change the value, the "write tweecer", its done. If you are at all interested in it, download their software and have a look around (its free). I havent played with the A9L or the like, but might be able to help you around as I do have the bin files.

On edit: I cant make it to the track the 21st weekend, but will be there after that if you want to see it live on my car.

I'm definitely getting one, I just have to find a dealer so I can buy it. They make two I see, a tweecer basic and a tweecer R/T any recommendations.

Get the R/T if you can afford it. The datalogging capabilities make it well worth it. I run an old school EEC Tuner which is similar to a tweecer, but its not quite as user friendly. I haven't touched mine in literally 2 years, so I won't be much help until I get back into it.

These guys are an authorized re-saler 9and who I bought from.

    Base - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...spagenameZWD1V

    RT - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...spagenameZWD1V

Me personally, I bought the base because there isnt much in the factory sensors I want to datalog. Keep in mind, I'm working with 2.3 stuff, so its different. I have less in a base, plus Innovate datalogging for what I want (RPM, AFR, Boost, and MAF, none of these go into our EEC's), than what the RT would have cost me, but I understand the RT works well with the A9L.

I think a lot depends on how far you are going to go. If its basic tune stuff, the base gets it done, if you are going to get into it, the RT can be a help. Things like rev limit, injector size, and misc stuff are pretty simple. Also remeber there is a good nertwork of support for the A9L's, while there are like three of us doing the 2.3 stuff ;)

If I recall correctly, this came up before the site crashed last time and someone tipped Ed off. He came on here defending himself.

My car is N/A so I don't think that I'll get to deep into it. I want to get a good tune on the car and raise the rev limiter and be done. I'm not trying to squeeze every pony out of it I just want a good safe tune. And if it makes more HP thats a plus.

You "might" be further ahead with a tune from one of the dealers via one of the other popular products out there then. If you arent going to have a wideband, and be logging data, you are kind of shooting in the dark for tuning. If you put $400.00 or more into a TwEECer, and go to someone else to tune, they arent likely going to use it, and you kind of wasted some money. TwEECer is a great product, but you sort of marry yourself to the product and tuning if you know what I mean. If you are into trying it yourself, its a great way to go. One greatthing, they seem to hold their value as I've seen most used ones selling at near new prices (like $50.00 off)

I checked it out and it doesn't specify which computer it is for, does it matter. If thats the right one I'm gonna buy it now.

If I buy it and install it will it use the factory settings unless I change something. Meaning can I just raise the rev limiter and thats it until I get a wideband to tune it or learn the system.

Supported processors are on this page.....

    http://www.tweecer.com/products.htm

Its basically one size fits all (if you are on the list). Look around the tweecer site, you will need to download the software from there.

Here is the REAL basic on what tweecer does. There is a 5 position switch included. Position 1 is the stock tune, so if you mess up, you can go back to that, and run off the factory tune. you can then have 4 custom tunes with variables changed, flipping the switch, changes tunes.

For example, I cant use my base tune at all because I have larger than stock injectors, so it runs PIG rich off the base. I have a "base tune in position 2 that only has the injector changes and upped rev limiter. I have a tune I'm playing with in postion 3, and really play with stupid stuff in postion 4. If I get something worked out, I write it to another position, and keep playing around with another.

So, in your case, you will have the stock tune in the first position, and can change the rev limit and save it to position 2. Run off of that, and maybe try playing around with position 3. I will say that I understand that there are some pretty well tuned bin files out there for the 5.0 stuff.

There is some real simple stuff in there that might be of real use to you, like for example, if you are running a stroker, you can change the displacement so it knows the motor is bigger
