GTO only weighed like 3600-3700lbs. A new 5.0 weighs about the same. Its suspension and inability to fit a big tire sucked though.

I had a YellowJacket 05 that was on a little spray. Also had had a Pedders TrackII suspension under it. Could drive it 2.5 hours to Wexford on a Friday & still keep it cleaner than the locals!

Try 3860. I do agree about the big tire thing though. My 275 Nittos were tight to the wheelwell on my car

I still miss the interior of mine! However, the IRS & heat soak issues I had to deal with still leave me bitter

At least I could see out of my GTO.

I also liked the different, non forced modern retro thing it had going on.

I was quite happy with the 11.5 outta that land yacht with me driving. (Mighta gone 11.3 with a skinny guy?) lol

After driving a 5th gen & also a new 5.0, I decided that if I was to buy a new toy to mess with, the 5.0 would probably get the nod. I like both cars, the new 5.0 just felt like it was real eager to move out.

I really wish the Challenger would come out to play in all of these comparisons, but it seems like Dodge is always the odd man out, just like back in the musclecar heyday.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
