Call me a Nsty98LS1 nutswinger, but my thoughts exactly. Hell I even like Hondas. I am a true "car guy". I respect and like certain cars regardless of make, and I will also give credit where credit is due. Right now the bang for your buck used drag car is an LS based car whether you are putting it in a mustang or buy a Camaro with one already in it. If I could afford another car payment comfortably, I would be looking at a 2011+ 5.0 Mustang. The new 5 liter is an awesome engine and when put in the right chassis can run like a son of a bitch.
The reason for the LS motors thriving right now is they can be had dirt cheap because they came in just about any small block V8 GM vehicle since early 2000s and before. They are common, and they have held up to EXTREME amounts of power and boost in stock form. Also, they are extremely easy to work on.
well not you, but a good driver and a setup proper car. Its just like any other car. You seen the vid of that stock coyote run 9s, but yet at PRP NOT ONE 2011+ car up there runs 9s and there are some that are blown and modded.
Coyote is a badass motor and Idk why everything thinks I hate them. lol. I was even gna buy the one on here to put into an sn95 but was talked out of it cause the cost it just too much compared to what else can be built.
Brand guys will always stick with there brand, Which in a way is a good thing though seeing thats what drives the industry and sells tons of parts for companies.
And its really always the same thing on both sides. If a ford beats a chevy its cause it had a blower. And if a chevy beats a ford its cause it weighs less and has more inches. Its the same debate that always been around really. Which I think is good, Makes the auto makers battle with eachother to see what they can put out to 1 up the other.
and my point was i bet that 8.0 car was more than 5.0 liters oh and it has 3 pedals too !
