Wow, no ban yet.....people already gouging on "assault" weapons

Damn all the gun stores are already cleaned out of anything cool and forget about getting any 30rd AR mags, lol. Guys on gunbroker are trying to sell 13$ pmags for 90$. Good thing i already got mine. Ace sporting goods in wash was clogging traffic all over rt19. The gun ban didnt start yet did it?

Alright, I will start the war. What does the average person need to have an ar 15 for? I don't know anyone that hunts deer with one, or really shoots one for fun. If you buy one just to say you own one, you might be a redneck. If you buy one and say you will use it if needed, you might want to move from your hood. If you brag enough about owning one, don't leave your house, cause someone like me I mean someone will break in and steal your shit along with the guns you have. Just saying..

Why own one? Why not? Do you watch fireworks? Is a waterfall beautiful? Is your car as equipped as the factory built it? Everybody likes something different, i have hand guns some shotguns, rifles...etc. ive never been hunting a day in my life and i never plan on it. Would i defend my house with my ar? Probably not cause my 12g shotgun is a better choice. The point is the says i can have a magazine fed semi auto rifle so i do, its about as logical as the 410w in my mustang.....its just loud, powerful and american

I agree with this. I don't know why someone needs a weapon like this.....BUT, if you give up the right to own these then you're opening the flood gates for even more upcoming restrictions.

The issue is, 99% of everyday gun violence is done by individuals whom are not legal to be owning the guns. The government will do what the want, but the criminals will always have the upper hand.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

    EXACTLY what torquebox said.

And FYI in some states your allowed to use that type of weapon to hunt and I own one because I do like shooting it.

Why mod a vehicle if the speed limit is 55? Why buy a vehicle capable of going over 55 cause no point because thats illegal and breaking the law to go over the posted speed limit.

IMO any comparison of a gun to cars is pretty ridiculous.

A car is for transportion, moving from one place to another.

A firearm moves an object at a high rate to strike another object at a distance.

Now some will want to move from one place to another faster, in style, etc.

Some will use a firearm for food, some for sport, some for paranoia, some for harm.

Unfortunately laws regarding firearms will affect the law abiding citizens more than criminals. But that's also the case with any other law. It's a huge mess and it's going to get really messy and divisive. I support the right to bear arms, but there is a limit. That limit needs to be better defined and it's going to cause butthurt somewhere on the spectrum.

You dont think a car can move at a high rate of speed to strike another object at a distance? Um how many car deaths are there every year?

We should ban new assault weapon sales and all large magazines for semi automatic
weapons (say over 10 rounds). Citizens who already own assault weapons should be
required to get a permit that requires annual background checks, and restrictions on
the transportation, resale, and amo. These weapons in the hands of average citizens
(and criminals) threaten the safety of the unarmed public, and our law enforcement,
thus fall squarely under the (laws) of a well regulated militia.

If there ever is a zombie apocalypse you get to help arm the militia.

On a positive note, those of you who are super responsible and licensed to collect the
assault weapons already out there, you enjoy a handsome return on your investment.
Like anything limited, exotic, the value will continue to climb.

We get the peace of mind that responsible people monitor these guns.

You get the benefit of "investing" in a controlled product.

As far as I can tell, it's a WIN WIN.
