increase some regulation (require locked cases and magazine size limits)
and ban new semi automatic assault weapon sales (like it was pre 1994)
because those weapons have no practical purpose but to assault targets

that isn't "taking away" your guns. Most of what you are "scared" by is the
totally paranoid ranting of the NRA and its gun manufacturing lobby. The
things that they have said to whip up fear, paranoia, and contributions by
gun owners verge on the criminal (inciting an uprising). Yet it is somehow
allowed because they alone claim to represent our 2nd amendment, as if
they wrote it!? There are no evil masses of liberals coming for your guns.
We just want more regulation. And there is no so called slippery slope....
The government has no individual will, it is an elected body comprised of
citizens like you and me. One of the things that freaks me out is paranoid
irrational gun owners. So let us all proceed rationally?

That's it for me. Happy Holidays!
Show me one law that was obeyed in any of these shootings.... you can't and making more laws does absolutly nothing.

    Merry Christmas

Im all for back ground checks and sealing up some loop holes makin it easier for bad people to get guns. But I just cant see the theroy that banning ar-15 platform guns, or even takin the clip size down to 10rnds makin this huge difference in gun violence.

I think the only reason it even seems like alot of ar-15 style weapons are used in shootings is the fact that the media thrives on coverage that involves them.

Also I think the economy is playing a part in all the violence as of late. Jobs are down, People are struggling for money worse then ever. More and more people are losing the jobs that they had for years. I think that plays a huge part in some of these peoples mental breakdowns as well.

It's clear that Schumer believes he's special. He wishes to ban private citizens' ownership of firearms, while he enjoys layers of protection."

"Also, a check of Pistol License records shows that Senator Schumer possesses an "unrestricted" pistol permit, a rarity in New York City. Licenses are distributed in different categories in the Big Apple: Target Permits allow only use of a firearm at a licensed firing range; Premises Permits allow weapons to be kept in a home or apartment; Restricted Permits allow the gunowner to carry their firearms concealed but only within the purview of their job (security, jewelers, armored car guards, etc.). So it's evident that Senator Schumer has two sets of rules -- one for Americans and one for himself."

Probably not cause my 12g shotgun is a better choice. The point is the says i can have a magazine fed semi auto rifle so i do, its about as logical as the 410w in my mustang.....its just loud, powerful and american

Do you really think this is what will push people over the edge? I just don't see that happening. People seem too complacent with change. Thats JMO.

Proceed rationally but you have no ****ing clue what you are even talking about.

The fact is that these what you libs refer to "assault weapons" which they are not, account for less than 1% of crimes committed with firearms, don't beleive me go look it up for yourself, it's easy to find. More people are killed with hands and fist (about 1600 per year)than these types of guns(less than 300 a year).

As far as regulation, there are over 20,000 gun laws on the books right now so your answer is to make more, maybe try enforcing some of the one's we have first.

Go read the 2nd amendment again and when you come to the part that says "Shall not infringe" you can stop and think about what it means.

And I really see absolutely no need for any of these high HP cars people own on this site, absolutely useless and only good for getting innocent people killed when someone decides to drive like an ass, and you will because I see them flying on the parkway quite often.

Some of you people just don't get it and it's sad.

EXACTLY! I'm sure the NRA does NOT have unlimited funds and they're waiting for just the right time to file a federal lawsuit... or, I mean I am hoping and praying they do.

What Obama, Biden and every other "elected" official that wants to talk gun control right now in the media, in official white house meetings, on tv talk shows, etc. is INFRINGING. They are breaking the terms of the 2nd Amendment just by actively discussing abolishing it, changing it, taxing it, writing more laws to restrict it, so on and so on.

    in·fringe
    Verb
1.Actively break the terms of (a law, agreement, etc.): "infringe a copyright".
2.Act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on: "infringe on his privacy".

    Welcome Back, by the way.
