Raptor??

Well my life has drastically changed over the past 2 years and I'm now considering selling/trading my GT500 for a more practical vehicle. I need a family vehicle and something that supports my life style. I've missed my F-150 the day I sold it and as much as I love my GT500 I can't justify/afford keeping it and buying a truck.

I've been driving this 2011 6.2 Raptor for the last 5 days. I love it! Super cool, lots of power and it only has 18k miles on it. But I hate the fact it's only a super-cab and it's not loaded (no heated seats, no navigation, no climate control, no rear cam or sensors)

The dilemma I'm in is, I can trade straight up, no out of packet cash So what do I do,
(1) Trade Straight up?
(2) Find a loaded crew and spend about 5k-10k more?
(3) Keep the GT500 knowing I won't driving it much and continue to watch it depreciate?

It's a tough time of year to make a non-bias decision… with the snow and all, but this isn’t the first time that you’ve contemplated selling it. As such, it appears that you’re ready to move on… maybe, and a Raptor would be a decent replacement; but I'd go with option #2- It's a pretty big investment to settle for something less than what you really want...

Just to be a pain in the ass, 1. Drive it for a month. If you like it, keep it. If you find the need for the huge rear seat, trade it or sell it for a crew. Not sure how you feel about the MPG's or lack of them, maybe a month of 11 mpg will change your mind about the 6.2. Some guys care about the mpg, others don't not sure where you fall in that category.

I thought about a FX4 which still might be an option as scorpio333 pointed out 10MPG does suck!! Especially for me as I'm use to driving a company car with free fuel!

Something to consider....

Mustang GT500 probably is at lowest value during winter.

Any 4x4 truck/ Raptor will be at its highest value during winter.

My FX4 super crew 5.0 gets an awesome 13.7 Put 33's on it and it jumped up from 13.4, the new tires are lighter than the oem Pirellis. Even though it's not a daily driver I'm happier with it than a Raptor which my wife wanted a bit more than I did.

option 4 trade me for my superduty it will do all that 150 will and more, better millage more room, And way more power

I agree. They look cool but even if I did live in a place that had dunes close by, who wants to go beat on a truck they are paying that kind of money for?

If it has heated seats, gps, back up cam, back up sensors, climate control, It doesent sound much like a truck to me. What ever happened to looking out of your mirrors people? That's why they are there. And if I hear how am I going to back my truck up to my trailer that answer is A. You shouldn't be driving a truck in the first place and. B. You definitely shouldn't be towing a trailer. A truck is something you shouldent be scared to beat up on, get dirty, Throw some shit in the bed. Actually use it like a truck is suppose to be used. It doesn't need washed in the driveway every Sunday or takin to have detailed once a month. All you are discribing is a Cadi with big tires.....
