Comfort on street has alot more to do with it than just the rear axle situation.

I would normally say IRS for the autoX and road coarse, and SRA for the strip. However, my 11 GT with SRA i think handles better then my 03 Cobra did on the autox and road coarse. I can only imagine how well a new Boss handles with the suspension goodies it has.

Mike, i have to agree with you. I hate when people put GM motors in Fords and vise-versa. Call it butthurt, call it whatever you want. i don't like it.

X2 On the Fall SCS cruise this year, Monkey Grits was following my cobra in his Mach 1 and he couldnt believe how my car stayed planted around the turns especially on rough roads! He said he was bouncing around while I was motoring away!! LOL

My sra trans am with drag suspension on it, made the trip just fine when i went.

I still say. If the irs is/was so great why did ford not stick with it? Why not put it on the s197 platform? Why wouldnt ford put it on the boss 302 that was built for track? They brought it out for 4yrs only on cobras so they definetly could put an irs in on a s197.

Is his rear end all stock? I get way more articulation than I need out of my SRA after doing some simple upgrades that all GTs and Mach should do IMO

I will admit on the street an IRS is champ but when it comes to any real performance driving a properly set up SRA can't be beat. They will take an abuse that the IRS just can't.

MM doesn't run them and do nothing but push their pan hard bar and torque arm setup. It's a proven winner and will be the next suspension mod for my car if/when I mod it again.
