    replacing a quarter panel

i called around today trying to get estimates and so far have been very shocked. i outlined where i think would be a good place to cut out a good one...but maybe im wrong. if im wrong where would i need to cut one? i cant find new ones except for verts

how much should i look to pay for this? (note this would be sometime next year to actually do it. im just seeing if the car is worth it.)

take the 1/4 glass out then cut about 5" from roof down... this is where ford welds are. if you take out the 1/4 trim interior you will see it...

replace the whole 1/4, not just a section like you have marked

    yea right

You might get yourself into a much larger project if you try and section in that little piece. It's much easier to get sheet metal perfect when you have other points to judge off of. Like any place trim bolts on, or a bottom of a window. Basically anything that could be mocked-up for alignment, then welded. They def. sell full quarters for those cars. Do allitle more research.

Jered you can do it both ways it all depends on how bad your car is. I have but whole Quarters and its a lot of work if done right section the a panel will work in most cases.... If you need any help PM me....

from the looks of the pic, i think a good body man could pull that and work it real close with very little filler, but thats just me. Did you hit something?

was like that when i bought it....but it is starting to rust on the flare. pass side more than driver....plus there is some surface rust beginning around the fuel door...so im just gonna jump in and replace both quarters.
