    Plumber's Union

Is anyone on here a plumber in the Union, or a plumber at all for that matter?

I am going to go pick up an applicatio (Local 27)n when they come out in march, and was wondering if theres anything I can pick up to read up on before the actual general aptitude test?

I'm sure most of the stuff on it I'm sure I know, but I could use a little brushing up on my math skills

    any input or opinions appreciated!

I'm a union pipe fitter/ plumber local 354, brush up on your math make sure you can read a tape measure ( you would be surprised how many grown men can't) and be ready to take a drug test. Any other questions you can pm me if u like.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Sounds fairly easy..The hardest part seems to get my highschool transcripts..lol.

Math is one thing that i'm not the best at, as long as its explained in some detail I can usually pick up on some..simple math isn't a problem but I know with plumbing, it can get a little more in depth than that. Thanks man!!

Yeah, as a tradesmen I can tell you that a test will never take the place of on site experience. Most trades are 4 year apprentice programs. I believe electrical is 6. Either way, good luck on the job.

Thanks John, I believe the apprenticeship program is a total of 5. I could be wrong though, a buddy shed a little light on it last summer and I've been interested ever since.

I feel like I learn better with on hands experience versus reading, studying, ect. so I feel like it'll be the best way for me to acquire a trade.
It's too hard these days to work a 40 hour a week job and attempt to go to school, pay bills, ect in my eyes. If I can work and learn at the same time, all while gaining some knowledge in a trade, I think it'll be great! High hopes.
thanks everyone! Any other experience/opinions/ect appreciated as well!
