    Any electronic tinkerers?

Got a Panasonic 32" flat screen CRT tv that gave up yesterday. Worked fine, then wife tried to turn it on and no go. So SHE broke it. Anyhow the damn thing weighs about 165lbs and it's about 12yrs old or more.

Anyone tinker with old tv's and want it? Anyone know where I can get rid of it? Not sure the garbage man will take it. Target practice for anyone? Anyone wanna live like a rock star for a day and drop it out a hotel window?

I never had to get rid of a tv before, always gave them away before they died, no clue what to do with it yet.

My trash people will not take tv's anymore. I think you have to take them to a recycling place.

my CRT went in a dumpster and it still worked :P seriously, i'd at least smash it and dig out the PCBs to extract the gold

LEDs are cheap enough now, pretty soon you're gonna be able to roll em up and take em with ya

I doubt a 12 year old tv would be worth the money to take it to a shop to fix it.

I ain't worth nothing unless you need a huge block of weight. Hate just throwing things away if someone, anyone has a use for it. Now I'm told some law went into effect in Jan about throwing electronics away, they won't take them anymore. Wife's friend says Guardian storage has a drop off, so that's likely it's destination.

It was the living tv for the toddler. Got a 39" panel at BB for $251. Had rewards and it was on sale. Not even a clue what it looks like on, I'm done with crunching tv numbers, human eyes have a limit. The main 57" is going on 7 yrs old and I tried everything I could to convince her we should move that upstairs for the kid and replace it. Apparently my logic wasn't strong enough.

I like steak, but since I'm married I rather trade that in for a hummer. I can go buy a steak anywhere, but the other is slightly more complicated.

Drop it in the dumpster at a local business when no one is looking.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

I hear there is a Nissan dealer with lots of room in their dumpster. Be sure to also bring old drywall, couches and mattresses!
