    5 year anniversary

So i bought my 97 Cobra March 8th 2008...we are coming up on our 5 year anniversary and she deserves a nice gift. i have basic bolt ons(exhaust, RAI, 4.10s, pulleys, driveshaft), but no suspension upgrades except for subframe connectors.

Have been looking for more power and the guy at Comp Cams said for cams (pn 106300), springs, cam gears and retainers i am looking at $2200 for everything. other than that, i would probably get a set of longtubes and be done with her power output for a while. thinking i would be at about 315 or so at the wheels and i would be thrilled with that.

i really do not want to do anything suspension related yet. the car hooks up great and for the most part i just cruise when i do take her out.

just putting a feeler out there to see if this is a good choice. think it would be fun and the car would sound incredible. thanks guys.

Must say I agree with the above. FI beats cams in a 4v

This is lies. The first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem.

Around here, this is like asking a bunch of alcoholics if they want a beer or a root canal.

haha. tell me about it. anyone can put a power adder on a car...plus it would cost 3 times as much to do it the right way. plus the more power you have the more stuff you break. now my new 5.0, that is something i would put a blower on without a doubt.

Unless it's an LSX. Being you have gears already I guess cams would be the only real hp adding mod you could do, but I agree with the pack, the return vs. investment isn't real good on that mod for a 4v

Those camshafts and a short runner intake would be a great match. They would definately work together and pick up some power!
