So what's your take on the edelbrock supercharger? And is there a purpose for why its built the way it is?

I wouldn't know about the mustangs, but for C6's, the edelbrock is the only positive displacement blower that will fit under a stock C6 hood... that's why i'd love to have one so much... but they're not real popular, thus not many used ones laying around...

For someone looking for supercharged power on a stock motor, no plans for more power down the road, this is a great system. Very clean installation with OEM like fit and feel and it will clear a stock hood. The car made good power, runs and drives like stock, just a lot faster! What impressed me about the kit is how much work is done for the installer right out of the box. Now that I have an install under my belt, with better instructions, this is a very nice system to install. As far as it's design, I have no clue what their reasoning is but it works!

The customer was very concerned about the sound. He actually stayed in Pittsburgh while we performed the work just so he could hear how the car sounded in the event he didn't like it. Sure enough, with the long tubes, catted h-pipe and existing Ford Racing Sport Axle-Backs, the car was too loud for him. He then had us install the OEM mufflers which really quieted down the car but took away the muscle car sound as well. We were prepared for this and had a set of Borla Touring mufflers on hand and that is what the car left with. I think it's probably still too loud for him, I recommended the GT500 mufflers from the beginning and I suspect he will end up putting them on or going back to the OEM mufflers. It's hard to keep these cars quiet with after market exhaust!
