If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Well, no pics or proof but I got the Lincoln running. Carbs been rebuilt, oil changed, fuel system flushed, plugs/wires changed and it roars now. I even went for a 2 mile drive around the block. I am having an issue though. I am pouring transmission fluid out underneath the car in between the engine and tranny. Torque converter? Input shaft seal?

Chris...How's the Jetta running? I like that car. Too bad my GTO was a little quicker. :D

The rest on here may not understand, but Chris & I roll raced on the 2013 Pizza Power Tour and the Jetta was about a fender length behind my Tri Power '66 GTO. Bad ass musclecar my ass! It runs 15.0 in the 1/4 at 92mph. The Jetta ain't far behind.

Glad to hear you are finally working on the Lincoln. My buddy Ron just bought a '65 Lincoln a few weeks back...

If you remember he had a bagged '64 that I showed you pics of a few years back...

It's running/driving, but I took the plate off it and put it on my 65 Thunderbird (which is for sale right now) and the Lincoln is in storage at a friends building. I won't be starting the restoration on the Lincoln until after I buy a house, which will hopefully be happening this Spring.

Better watch out, I'm retuned with a new exhaust. Back then the Jetta would average 16.0-16.1, now it gets 15.5's in the 1/4 lol

Love these cars. 64 is easily the best looking year. The front and back, especially the front grill, is spot on.

Black, and I'm thinking on 22's. I've been looking at them with 20's and some wheel designs can pull that size off, but most others seem a tad too small for the sheer size of the car.

there was one for sale on c-list this spring - all original, original owner, 95k miles, rust free, garage kept...$6k.

it was the wrong colors teal/teal - but for $6k a color change is nothing.

Still kicking myself for not snagging it - it was gone in 2 days.

agreed that '64s are best. The GTO has run a 15.0 @ 92mph.

I know that car. It was a 65. Great car for the money, but I'm all about the 64. I really don't like 65 and up just because they started putting hard lines on the car starting then.

You should bring it to an autocross in the north hills since you have tires and Hotchkis parts on it, see how it does. There was a 70.5 Z28 tearing it up there one day.

I forgot to add, this year at parts-a-rama I picked up a whole brand new wiring harness, so I'm going to rewire the entire car myself. I went with Kwik Wire's 22 circuit kit. I loved that there was a kill switch built into the fuse box, and circuits for electric fuel pump and cooling fans, things I'll be adding later on.

Great thread! I've been working on a 63 Conti Slab for quiet some time. Unfortunately, I let a real turd of a shop "try" and help me...that was an awful (costly) mistake. It's now with a buddy at his shop fixing all the mistakes the first shop made.
Once you get her road worthy and such let me know, we'll do a shoot or something.
Here's a pick of my 63 slab from years ago. It's in much better condition now. Gone are the Daytons tho
