I hate PennDot

Sorry if anyone works for them in advance...

But seriously?? I traded my 2010 GT into a DEALER for my 2011 in december. The dealer paid the car off the next day, did all the paperwork and registration and plate transfer at AAA. All said and done right? Nope. PennDot claims i still own the 2010, wants insurance proof, a fine to pay, and my registration was suspended etc...

So I call PennDot to nicely say i no longer own the car etc. The B***** on the phone calls me lazy and says I should've notified them. Plus, she says i need to photocopy info on the transfer and send the fine money in, then id get reimbursed. HELL NO! AAA is part of PennDot, there is no way they didn't get any info on this whole transaction!

Anyone else have this issue?

Looks like you need to goto the Dealer, it was their responsibility to take care of all that with the state when they transferred your registration to the 2011. PennDOT is a MF'er to deal with, I'd like a much bigger entity (dealership) fight that battle.

PennDOT is filled with a bunch of lazy losers.. I've had so many issues with them, I can't even start telling you, but your best bet as Dan said is to let the dealership handle it. Handling it yourself will drive you to probably take the shovels that they lean on and beat them with it in all the centers.. Lol

Go to your local state rep. They will hash it out with PennDot.

Penn-Dott is one of the big reasons people leave/avoid this state like the plague. I recently had a run in with them over registration on one of my vehicles.

Yeah I dread the day I need to go renew my license. Luckily I only have to deal with them every 4 yrs.
