weatherwise looks like it might be fall till prp is open again. hell I haven't put any miles on the car since the dry run the other weekend. sad
More weight loss fun. Gutted the stock hood today. Cut every bit of metal possible out of it while still keeping the ability to bolt it to hinges and kept a tiny bit of metal up front so I can use the prop rod.
Went from this (42 lbs.)
To this (29 lbs.)
I really thought I would drop more than 13ish lbs (including the latch assembly in the front) removing all the bracing, but it is what it is. Internet folklore has these weighing under 20 lbs., which is impossible. There might be a pound left to cut between what I left in the back and where the prop rod goes, some of which would be added back with the need for rear pins or dzus fasteners.

Pulled the engine, transmission, fuel system, coolant system, dash, hvac system, brake pedal assembly, ecu and wiring harness. Installed a 5 speed pedal assembly, steeda adjustable clutch quadrant, and started installing the new fuel system (aeromotive 17106).

Good news, ended up being a bad battery (4 months old). Car is back up and running, only put 1,000 miles on since I got it out of the garage from winter, and 800 of those was a road trip to Canadia for work. Need to drive it more!

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
Installed a mm pinon snubber and some new rubber shaker bushings. Plus I buffed out the front and rear bumpers.. Gotta get my drivers seat back from the upholstery place. Getting the seat bolster fixed. It was going flat. Leather still looks great but the foam was going south.

Swapped T5s and built an air dam. Nut and bolted in prep for Polish Mountain. Probably re-lash valves tonight.

Oh the rear seat is still in there but my legs aren't long enough to sit back there and reach the clutch:beer: picking up my drivers seat tomorrow. I'm debating whether to leave the seat extenders in or take them out. I love the extra room it gives me but I really don't like how it raises the seat up higher you would think someone would have figured this out by now.
Thanks guys.
