The car is actually a limited production 1984 1/2 Ford Mustang G.T. 350 20th Anniversary Edition. True the performance was the same as standard GTs, but it was more than just a stripe kit. To verify it's a real Anny look at the buck tag on the radiator support. It will say "ANN" if it's legit. It is a rare collectible Fox (not to be confused with valuable, or disposable!) it was 1 of 2604, 1 of 934, or 1 of 362 depending on engine. It's a sure bet less than 1/2 of those remain. And it makes me sad to ponder its fate since I have participated in AS and AI races. But it is yours to do with as you please. The dude abides.
20th Anniversary GT350 - 5,261 units
5.0L 5-speed convertibles (4V carb) - 587
5.0L AOD (automatic) convertibles (CFI) - 670
2.3L Turbo 5-speed convertibles (EFI) - 104
5.0L 5-speed hatchbacks (4V carb) - 2,604
5.0L AOD (automatic) hatchbacks (CFI) - 934
2.3L Turbo 5-speed hatchbacks (EFI) - 362
"the dude abides" been a while Lebowski!
PS with Aubles Superior driving skills he wanted to make sure the competition had a chance

Since you seem to be so knowledgable about the class, you should also know these guys have 15k+ in these motors. Ultra lightweight internals, neutral balanced crank, they typically run 15-20 more degrees of duration because they have the rotating assembly to support 7500 rpm (I obviously don't), valve job, better valves, Edelbrock has an AS legal head that guys see 40 hp gains from (from what I am told, doubt 40 considering it is basically a performer rpm head that flows a bit worse), etc.
I am using a stock shortblock, untouched heads, a cam custom ground so it will make the power exactly where it does so the motor will live, and a bunch of other used junk. The thing makes exactly what it should.
If I find the badge you are speaking of, I am going to post a video of me destroying it, because I could give a **** how rare the car is. Sport.

From what Mark has said, this car is not a trailer queen. It wouldn't be worth it to restore it to factory condition. So why get upset that he is racing it? These GT350's will never be worth much unless they are in perfectly preserved original condition, and even then it is highly unlikely that they'll be worth more than a 2-year-old Toyota Camry. And sorry - hoping that someone puts a car into the wall is simply NOT cool. Period. I have met and received driving instruction from Mark and he's a good guy who knows what he is doing, and I wish him well with this car. Being competitive in a car with less power than the competition - and for a significantly smaller $$ investment - is very cool in my opinion.

A guy actually wishing death or injury ("I HOPE YOU PUT IT INTO THE WALL!") on another guy because he's racing a modified mid-80s fox body....LMAO...only on a Pittsburgh area car forum.
