Twin Hi-Way Drive-In reopening!

lol Twin Highway is 1-2 min drive for me as well. When I was a kid I could here the movies playing. I live right up the road from where I grew up. This is cool.

+1 I could easily walk there with a case of beer and a lawn chair, get drunk watch a movie and stumble home

Just got back from picking my mom up from work (Verizon, up from Robinson mall). She said all her colleagues go to Buttya's Fridays after work and told her the owner of Buttya's bought it to reopen.

What was the last movie anyone can remember seeing in a drive-in? The last one I clearly remember is the first Star Wars in the 70s. I couldn't have been older than 5. I know there must have been a couple more after that, but it's fuzzy. No Dolby Digital or THX deafening me, but how nice will it be to not have to pay 10-12 bucks, be able to lean back in your own seat, and not have little jerk-off kids making noise or kicking seats?!

George of the Jungle at the North Versailes one before it became a walmart. Tried to go to a few since, but such a long drive. A few times they were sold out by the time we got there. Unfortunatly our business club shut down three of the area ones when I was little. Sucks. My grandfather did great with clubs, but somehow I wish he didn't. Drive ins are great!

I knew that it was there. I just thought the movies weren't played there anymore and that it was only used for flea markets. I hardly ever go down Kane Rd.
