Try Kevin Philifent (his car say "Just Plain Kevin" so you can skip the last name) at Woltz & Wind. I'd think he could handle inventory in their Washington store as well, but I'm not sure.

Tell him your Mustang buddies with Greg Farrell... we bought an Ecoboost MKS from him and my sister-in-law just got an Ecoboost MKT from him.

    He's a class act.

I've found that good salespeople treat me like I treat them.

Bad salespeople try to screw you.

Generally, within the first 10 minutes it's not hard to tell the difference.

There's plenty of bad ones out there, but I think there's enough good ones to get the job done.

Also, from time-to-time good dealerships can have bad managers. Those bad managers can attract bad salespeople and repel the good ones.

Fortunately, bad managers either get fired or put the place out of business. Either way, it's generally safe to forget about any bad experience more than a couple of years old because the people that made it bad are likely long gone if the dealership still stands.

I personally will never go back to that dealership. When I was looking at Navigators and Expeditions after Monica's accident, the sales guy got agrivated when I asked him to pull 3 of the vehicles out so I could actually open the doors to look inside and he told me that he had no idea why he was even bothering sine I looked like I could not afford to buy any of them anyways. When approaching the sales manager and telling him what I was told, his reply was that they simply were busy that day. I told him and the salesman they both could go Fuk themselves or each other, which ever they saw fit, I was close I think to having the cops called on me as I yelled at them and made it clear to the other twenty customers in the showroom how I was treated. Needless to say, there are now two more people on my kill list if I ever become terminally ill.

I have found that car salesmenz' biggest problems are not establishing a relationship with their customer and not trying to find the vehicle they love as opposed to just selling them what they can. Many of them also have no clue about the cars and how to actually "sell" them to people.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

It's crazy that people that would make a nice commission off a car would piss someone off like that. You would think they would get down on their knees and be your best friend.

Bottom line on this is simple there are good and bad sales people everywhere I feel bad for Viper as he should have smacked someone up. But to the point, Yes the first ten minutes of the intro you can tell if he/she is a douche. Also, lack of knowledge of product is a issue. It's sad when you know more about the product than the sales person. That and I think sales is like teaching I complemented one of my professors and said you know just about anyone can get a teaching degree but not everyone can teach. To me, sales is the same thing. I think your a people person and you are good at it or you are fake and full of crap. JMO

It's a catch 22..... for walk in traffic, friendly sales people tend to not sell as much as
pushy sales people - until they build up years of repeat customers - then they tend to
sell more than the hacks. The problem is most dealers are unwilling to "carry" a good
young salesperson until they get a client base. So the good people leave the business.
A good sign is someone that's been at one dealer for years. The good salespeople are
concerned with customer reputation. And the irony is, they hold more gross! A happy
customer generally is someone that is willing to pay a little more. The customers that
fight you over every last $ are often trouble customers. They tend to never be happy
with their purchase and are in your office every other week!

You clearly understand the game and the Catch 22.

Acura/Honda/Mitsusbishi sales guy, May 1990 - July 1990... Learned enough and knew I couldn't stay long enough to get those recurring buyers so I left with my integrity.
