I know jaa55 (Jim) did the swap on his 11 when he had it. Maybe he'll chime in or you can PM him.
I'm not sure about the lines, but do yourself a favor and ditch those pads. Unless you like cleaning brake dust off of your wheels everytime you drive it
Most leave the rears alone....

Yes I never touched the rears, I believe they are the same on brembo cars. Very easy swap

They come with the pads so i might as well use them, besides when track days come around i expect my wheels to get dirty. And i actually enjoy cleaning my car. Bonding time! lol

There are pads out there with significantly less brake dust with the same performance. Just saying my wheels look like yours after a day of normal driving, and mine are a bigger pita to clean.
You don't need the lines, although I would prob do it anyway. The rears on brembo and standard GTs are the exact same

No kidding. I was just bringing up the fact that factory gt500 aren't the greatest and dust a ton under normal driving conditions. It's been brought up by every gt500 owner I've ever talked to.
Im just happy to have brembos now. Plus drilled/slotted rotors. The pads are new so i plan to use them. Afterwards, which pads are good track pads? (that aren't super expensive.)

The factory Ferodos are pretty good. Anything that dusts less is going to suck. Pretty sure the Brembos on my Cobalt came with the same compound and they stood up lap after lap. Dusted like crazy but it goes with the territory. And I would get some solid rotors if you plan on tracking the car.

What happens? do they warp quickly? are they not as "sturdy"?

I've heard that the slotted rotors last a lot longer than the cross-drilled rotors, but are as effective at venting the gas from the rotor surface.
