    Definition of a gift card?

I see it as cash. 5.0resto has a 7% off off of everything sale right now, so I tried to use the coupon code plus my giftcard. No worky. So I called this morning, and I get "gift cards cannot be used with coupons...sorry man".

So you get punished for recieving a giftcard from someone?

Tell them you'll just go to:

    CJ Pony Parts
    Blue Oval Industries
    Stage 3 Motorsports
    Maximum Motorsports

Too much competition to be picky about a sale!

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Shouldn't be a problem, gift card is just like a debit card. They offer 6% discount in forums.

I Agree, I got into it with AM over there "amazing customer service" told them I will never order from them again and my business will go to LMR for now on.

Thats funny. I think they all stink. I had a bad experience with LMR in the past. Bought a "brand new" PA Performance hi torque starter. It comes in and has the threads in the middle of the the stud for the power wire stripped.

I called/sent pics of the bad section and what did they tell me to do? Put washers on it to change where the nut starts to tighten down (because the top of the stud was fine, the middle of the stud was stripped out, so if I raised it up I could get it tight before hitting the stripped part).

Now, this was fine. It worked, it was a a way around it. But I argued with them. I just spent $140 on a starter and shouldn't have to rig it up. They wouldnt exchange it because I was able to rig it, but instead gave me a whopping 5% discount on my next purchase woo freaking hoo.

Another time my father ordered some of their in-house brand convertible motor mounts. They didn't fit! The holes for the bolts that go into the block didnt line up. He called and tried to return them. LMR gave him hell so he had to drill out the holes so that they would fit. Ridiculous. They have horrible customer service and refuse to exchange items and admit fault. And their in-house "50resto" brand parts are all chinese junk.

The bigger they've got in the last few years, the worse their service has been. Its a shame too because I've purchased a TON of stuff from them. I remember getting a black and white parts catalog at carlisle in '02 when they were still a small, unknown company. Now they're the typical large company. crap.

Since gift cards typically cannot be bought for less than face value at the store, they should most certainly be accepted as a payment with coupons. It sounds to me like their checkout program doesn't allow it and they are too lazy to change it.

I know this is random, but here is a portal site where I buy discounted gift cards:
    http://www.giftcardgranny.com
It groups cards from other sites, it doesn't sell them directly. I love the concept of discounted gift cards.

Yeah, I have the opposite problems. lol

AM's house brand SR, blows. I got their 75 mm throttle body and its junk. Defently get what you pay for. I ran into a issue with them I'd rather not get into but it was the straw the broke the camels back.

On the flip side everything I've ordered from LMR has been great.

Stage 3 Motorsports has treated me extremely well, and because of that, I haven't ordered anything from AM in over 2 years now. Stage 3 has free shipping and they price match or beat the price, as do most other places. I bought my exhaust there, my wheels/tires and my long tubes will also come from them as well. Chris that works there is an awesome guy, and he does everything possible to work things out for you. I haven't had an opportunity to order from LMR, but they do have a few good prices on a few things that I want to get, so they'll probably be getting my business because they offer a wider variety of stuff compared to Stage 3..

Gift card is pretty much cash. Just the store already got the money prior. It should not matter how a gift card is used even with coupons.
