    General Fox question

I don't know what forum to post this in so... Trying to guesstimate what gears are in the notch I just got (without actually checking!). 93 5.0 with 5 speed. Stock size 16" tires on ponys. At 70 mph I was running about 1900 RPM give or take. Any guess

If your running a 225/55/16 tire, they are close to being 25 3/4" tall. Using this formula: rear gear x 336 x trans ratio gear (5th in your example) x speed and then dividing that by tire height we arrive at a 3.08 gear.

    Here's what it looks like... 3.08 x 336 x .68 x 70 divided by 25.75" =1913 rpm

Tires by different manufacturers will vary slightly in height and the calculator is intended only as an approximate guide.

It's going to be mostly a strip car, but still streetable. I'm going to de-mod the mach a little and just leave it as a cruiser. I'll get some pics up shortly. Stop out anytime, I wouldn't mind seeing your new ride as well

Yeah I'm probably going with 3.55 or 3.73 depending on what route I take with the car. Thanks though.
