    89 GT Frame Rust Thru

I've had my 1989 Mustang GT since 1994; I'm only the second owner. It would not pass inspection due to the fact that the frame is rusted thru where the K-member bolts to the frame. The rust hole is about 3" long, completely thru the box tubing. One of the bolts that attach the K-member to the frame has about half of the section lost.
Although the car has 180K miles, otherwise it's in great shape. I am an engineer and a pretty fair mechanic, but I'm no frame man.
I really love this car. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Late model restoration has panels to replace those sections. Or you can repair those pieces with square tubing. Or cut the pieces out of a donor car.

If it's made of metal....nothing is hopeless. That's what grinders and welders are for.

Where are you located?? I do a lot of work like this on the side.
