    Wtb shifter knob jam nut

    Anyone have one? I can't tighten my new knob without it being crooked!

    What kind of shifter do you have? I got the one for my hurst stick off of eBay fairly cheap.

    I think the question about what kind of stick is more to what nut you need. The stock ford stuff is Metric in a lot of cases while some aftermarket suppiers will switch to a SAE thread in some cases. Hurst for example makes sticks with the stock Metric, but also a lot of them in SAE.

    Something about the Hurst sticks / knobs in SAE. I never needed a jam nut with the stock type metric stuff, but when I had the Hurst long chrome stick with SAE theads it moved all over without a jam nut.

    It's a 12x1.75 it's a TRI ax shifter. I think stock is 12x1.25

    If all you want to do is tighten it down in a different position, why not put something inside the knob to make it bottom out in the straight position? Just my .02
