Torque box plates & rear suspension

I'm starting to plan the rear suspension of my car & was curious what makes the torque box plates vary so much in price? The Battle Box kit is $150 & looks no different than some of the other ones that I have seen. I'm not trying to cheap out on anything but I also don't want to pay more for something that does the same thing.

I'm also looking at the Team Z adjustable LCA's & I'm not sure about what to use for the uppers. This car is going to be 95% street car. I'd like to hear some input on what to try & what not to try. I also do not want all polyurethane bushings in the rear suspension. I want the car to be able to hook hard when needed but be plenty streetable

I bought and installed upr torque boxes on both my fox bodies and have no complaints.

As long as the torque box kit has upper and lower plates and bolts i would just buy the cheapest one. I never saw a difference in ones i have seen. I would use upr/wild rides/ team z upper and lowers. I would use spherical bushings in the rear end itself also. By putting the plate kit in you wont tear up the upper boxes so i would just go with no polyeurathane at all.

i looked at multiple sets last weekend because i had the same questions umi has a little thicker material and more welds in corners , i just did these in my notch with a kit from late model resto the kit fit well but was not the thickest , but it was also one of the cheaper kits

Come to think of it I may have used umi on my coupe and upr on my gt. but in my opinion I could not tell a difference between the two sets.

I have purchased and installed ones from Wild Rides (Battle Boxes) and from UMI and RNH performance. I had no complaints about any of them. UMI claims that they are the original designers and that everyone else has copied their design over the years. RNH peformance makes theirs out of stainless steel and I had found them through stangnet where Rick91GT is the owner of RNH. Bottom line, I do not think it would make a difference unless you are making some serious horsepower.
