13 GT Upgrades & Dyno Testing

Spent my rainy Sunday working on my 13 GT, have had some parts sitting around a while and wanted to do some dyno testing while the lifts were available. First thing I did was I returned the computer to stock (rest of the car is stock) and put the car back on the dyno for some new baseline numbers, car now has 1757 miles on the odometer. See RunFile 013. Once peak power was achieved and verified I pulled the car off the dyno, installed Kooks 1 3/4" headers & 3 X 2 3/4" catted h-pipe, these are the new certified no tune required emission legal green cats. Once the installation was complete, I put the car right back on the dyno with no tune changes. See RunFile 020. I then loaded a custom tune via Lund Racing and we squeezed a little more out. See RunFile 027. Once we made all we could with the Kooks Exhaust, OEM CAI and custom tuning, I installed a Steeda CAI and we went back into the tune one last time. See RunFile 030.

Overall the car picked up 34 RWHP & 24 RWTQ, not bad for a NA Auto car! The last leg of the test should be completed this week when my cat delete pipes arrive. Once they are here I will put the car back on the dyno for some baseline numbers, then I will delete the cats and strap her back down to see the results! Converter is being built, hope to have some new 1/4 mile times in the near future!

    Mike

    Those are some purdy pipes!

What's your guess for the 1/4 once the converter is in?

The car already should have ran high 11's IMO but I don't have many passes under my belt with this car, we also had some stuff missing in the tune. If it doesn't run 11's all day long with the new mods I'm sticking an LS motor in it!

Didn't look up the DA but I'm sure it was nice. Ran 2, 11.88's and 2, 11.77's. car is a little rich, going to lean it out some and try some different launch rpms to try and get a little more out of her!
