    Wheel Sealant/Cleaning

I know that Ron had mentioned looking up products for his new GT as well as myself mentioning about my new chrome rims. I've decided I wanted to test the market a bit and do some research on finding a good sealant and cleaner for chrome rims. I haven't applied anything to them yet as they are still sitting boxed in my garage. I've come upon a few products and websites that have shed a bit of light for me. My question is if anyone has any experience with any of these products.

Poorboy's Wheel Sealant: Great reviews and was told to apply every few months. Seems to help with brake dust accruing.

DP Wheel Glaze: Very similar to Poorboy's Wheel Sealant, but a cleaner is added into this.

Rejex: their claim to fame is nothing sticks.. read a lot of reviews of where people actually used this and liked it a lot

Zaino-CS (Z-CS): I've read this is good for your wheels as well as protecting your entire car..

Rejex and Zaino I have saw used on entire cars for added protection and an extra shine. A lot of people seem to think highly of those products. I'm just throwing this out there to see if anyone has used any of these products.. After a few hours of research, these seemed to be some of the most talked about from multiple forums.

Anyone have any suggestions or prior use with any of this?

Not sure about chrome wheels, never had a set. I've read you need to be careful to not overly or aggressively polish chrome, in other words start light and don't let them get in bad shape. For painted wheels I usually clay, polish, and use Collinite on them. Spritz them with 4Star every wash and then repeat every rotation. 55K on the 08 wheels and the insides look close to new, it's a DD that ain't afraid of snow and crap.

Is that what you use Tony? Your wheels on your Cobra always look massively clean now that I think about it lol.. Your car period always looks extremely clean.

Honestly I've never really given much thought to wheel sealants as it just seems like wasted time to me. If anything I will clean mine up really well and then go over them with an AIO, I think I have a bottle of Pinnacle XMT and I just put it on real light with a microfiber towel. That seems to help with the water spots and a little with the brake dust. I clean my car enough that the wheels never need much work.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
