Nope. It's funny because I've heard this shit for years now. 5.0's run like top fuel cars bone stock, and god lord if you put an axle back and fill it up with premium fuel it is faster than the speed of light. yet when I go to prp all those retarded fast cars must stay home. I guess you guys only come out once or twice a year when it's negative DA and the stars are lined up properly so you can try for a hero run , or if that doesn't work, just quote some other hero time that someone posted or spoke about. Then that becomes the time that every car runs. Now when I was there thursday I saw a bone stock 5.0 that was running 15's (major driver mod issues) and a vortech blown 5.0 on dr's, that by the logic spewn here should run like tens, running low 12's.

Yeah, can't really compare PRP on an average May evening to PRP in late fall, when the humidity and temp are way lower. The DA swings bigtime at PRP.

Even worse to compare PRP period to 'fast' tracks like MIR or Cecil County.

I'd also have to point out that trap speed at PRP seems to be reading low this year- my car is running the exact same ET as last year, but 3-4 MPH slower at the 1/4 mile vs last years slips. I don't think anything is wrong with the car, I think PRP is reading different.

Slap a tune on Cam's ZL1 and take it out in perfect conditions and I'm sure it would trap a lot higher. As long as he's having fun, who really cares.

Cam, if you're going to be out at the 'street car only' thing at PRP this Tuesday, want to line them up? Should be close, plus a supercharged dark red Mustang vs a supercharged dark red Camaro would be pretty fun.

Thanks for the dose of sanity! Just for comparison, when I first bought my 08 gt500 and took it to prp with a cai, and axleback it was trapping 114-115. Koval put on an upper, tune, and off road midpipe and it was trapping 123+ (which is right where the cai, pulley, tune zl1's are running). Hell the DA was 3500 on my fastest pass thursday.

I wasn't planning it, but it should be awesome air on tuesday, so I might change my plans. I would definitely go for a grudge race if I go. Should be a good one.

Awesome - looks like it'll be perfect racing weather tomorrow night. Should be a real close match up.
