check engine light??

I have a 2008 Gt just threw on the off road h pipe by summit and have pypes violaters axle back exhaust.. Does anyone have the mil eliminators on there GT if so did it remove the check engine light off the from the car? Or does anyone have any other routes to take to remove it?

on my 2000 GT i did the same thing you did. Put the MIL eliminators on and worked like a charm! you wont pass inspection (unless you know someone nudge nudge) but the annoying light is gone!

however i would go for a tune eventually, that'l take the light away too and give the most power possible

I don't think so - if you look up the rear O2 sensor part numbers for both cars and they match, that'll tell you.

Otherwise, you've got two options....

1. Re-install the O2 sensors with spark plug non-foulers stacked on them to keep them far enough from the exhaust stream to have the CEL not trip.
2. Turn them off in your tune (I THINK most SCT devices can handle this).

If you're in an emissions area, option 1 is your only choice. Most shops don't perform a visual anymore, they just check the ODBII checks and pass if all tests are completed and no codes are logged.

ok What my plan of attack of doing is throughing my stock mid pipe on, gonna drive it for a bit then get the emission test.. Actually just sitting in the car at the moment the CEL is gone.. do I have to do anything else special... after I get it tested again im going to put my off road pipe back on and get the Cold air intake and SCT Tuned before the inspection time comes up again... I really appreciate the feedback fellas!!! BTW is any of ya'll going to ford nationals next month?
